Anyone Purchased a 360 buckhammer or 400 legend?

@MattMan81
Awesome rifle! :cool:
Do what you want, but unless you're wearing some type of hearing protection, I'd suggest switching out that muzzle break for a linear compensator. The device projects the sound away from the shooter and for less than $60, it's worth it. :)

I was talking to someone about them. But my understanding was it moved out the side but back on an Angle as well? My concern at that point was my kids may be hunting with me, and don't want to directed it toward them.

Nope....all the port holes are only on the end of the linear compensator. That's how it projects the blast away from the shooter.
I had one on my Savage 243 and it was an ear saver. :)

I use limbsaver recoil pad at the range on 450 bm, take that off for gun season, knocks them down, do recommend ear plugs

Sweet. Thanks. I will look into that for next year.
Won't you lose recoil reduction of the muzzle break then? It looks like the linear compensator directs all gasses downrange, so it would be worse recoil than a straight barrel?

Not exactly. It still has an expansion chamber to the sides but then instead redirecting Gad straight out or back it goes out the front. The expansion chamber acts to depressurize the gasses and reduce recoil.

No experience with the 2 you asked about. We like our 350 a lot. My wife and 3 daughters all shoot it with no fear. Our traditions is a bit nicer than our CVA scout. Both seem plenty accurate.

The KVP Linear comp is part of a small group of muzzle devices that are designed to collect and redirect muzzle gases down range. This helps lower the perceived decibels a shooter experiences. The positive effects of our comps are especially noticed in AR-15 pistols and SBR’s that are notorious for having brain busting muzzle concussion. Application considerations include but are not limited to, SBR’s, close quarter combat (CQC), pistols, and hunting rifles.

The company selling them mentions nothing about recoil reduction in their description. The gasses are still going out the front vs the side, so from the physics side, the force would still be back towards the person. I could see the expansion chamber potentially delaying the force and drawing out the recoil to be not as "crisp".

I still might try one to see what the impact is. I shot my 450 once hunting without hearing protection and said never again. I have been using axil hearing protection/aids since, but they are annoying and I discovered this weekend that they can't go 2 days on one charge.

I wonder if there is an impact to muzzle velocity. My 450 is already dropping quite a bit at 200 yards. Hornady says 2200 fps, I saw online where people measured 2125 fps with 16" barrels, but my drop is more than that at 200 yards when I entire 2125 into the BDC calculator for my scope.
