Just figured it's worth sharing that these sticks are on sale for $80. I don't have much to compare against, but I cut some down and will be using them this year. And just for the sake of parts alone, $80 gets you six standoffs, 9 double steps, 3 buttons, 3 tubes and accompanying hardware.

What do they weigh now that you've cut them? I'm not really a sticks guy, but for the price that's not bad.

Without ropes/straps, the original weight was 3lbs 3oz each. Cut down and now with 2 steps instead of 3, they're 2lbs 5oz each, all according to my cheap kitchen scale.

For them that need sticks, this is a deal. $70 and a bit of time with a hacksaw and a drill press could make you a fine set of sticks in an afternoon.

I need sticks like a bull needs teats, but this is tempting.
 
Just ordered 2 sets. I’ve never used or seen these but for the price can I go wrong? Lol!!! I need two v brackets for my platform I’m building so I figure I can use the rest for whatever. Thanks for the heads up!!!

Put the hardware on some 1 x1 x 24 x 1/16 wall tube and rock some 1.7lb sticks.

- a single step by itself ?
-a single bolt with washer(s)/nut ?

I ordered a set since I sold all my sticks and climbers in anticipation of getting Dans Beast sticks. Unfortunately, my only climbing method right now is screw in steps. Not fun... Needed something to hold me over till the Beast sticks arrive and wild edge stepps are all sold out...

I'll try to remember to weigh a single step this evening, but the step + hardware was 6.1oz.

For stacking, the standoffs essentially grab the tube of the step underneath. I believe someone had mentioned it's the same standoff that muddy uses, in case that helps. There's a hole in the back side of the stick that's big enough for the cap bolt on the versabutton of the underlying step to fit into so they can stack better.
 
So is everyone that cuts these down to 24" using a single aider with each so you can get to roughly the same height as three stock 32" sticks? I have been using my stock 32" LW sticks with my saddle platform this year and seems to work fine. They strap onto my pack allright and really the only issue i run into is every so often the top of the sticks will get caught on a low overhanging branch. Just trying to determine what the main objective here is by cutting- saving weight and better packability?

I cut my heliums down to 16" and use a movable aider that cinches to my foot. I can get the same height as the stock stick length. I did it more for packability, not so much for the weight savings. I can fit my whole system in my backpack, and never have to worry about things getting caught on brush.

I'd like to give these sticks a try because my heliums don't pack together as nicely as I'd like, and I'm not a fan of the folding steps on the heliums (don't really like any moving parts)
