The options are kind of overwhelming. Single-point slings are very common and very frustrating, but they probably work OK in a saddle. My preference is an adjustable 2-point sling. I prefer the front attachment to be on the handguard as close to the magwell as possible, and the rear attachment in line with the receiver extension. Either on a receiver end plate or on the stock. QD slings are nifty but they have the bad habit of disconnecting themselves so I've taken to using HK hooks if I want to be able to easily disconnect it (slings and gun safes don't mix well) and just weaving it through the triglides if i don't. Paracord makes excellent forend sling attachment points.
