I went with the LL and fleece also. I haven't tried the hammock yet but I find that being attached at the LL is more comfortable for me. It doesn't pinch quite as much. I'm considering upgrading leg straps. I one stick and rappel, those to little one inch straps are doable and I'm getting be used to them more all the time but 3 inches seems like it'd be niiccee.

I'm in Michigan, I'm considering going to the meet up 4-30 but if your in the area I'd be happy to let you try it

Ive got the wider leg straps and yes they are a huge improvement when one stick climbing! I find theyre actually more comfortable when using just the harness in a hang on as well.

I don't have any of the belts for the Drey. I ended up just pairing it with an ultra light actual rated climbing harness. The harness plus the drey weigh in at like 3/4 of a pound. I just hook a carabiner in through the main loops of the harness and then use that to get around branches. I am always hooked into both the Drey and the harness at all times.

Can you share photos of this setup? How did you attach the hammock to that harness?

I have the LL and climb with them. I tried the hammock with a Recon and then ordered the belt. Great to wear in.

I can take a pic later tonight but trust me it aint a feat of engineering. I just used the loops Dane has on the saddle pouch and a small bit of dynaglide and tied the saddle to the back of the harness. When I get out of my truck to hunt I can strap the harness on very easily and the saddle just rides in it's pouch on the back of the edilrid harness. If I have a really long walk I just store the whole thing in my pack and put it on at the tree. Try to post a pic later

Gotcha. I was wondering if there was a way to slide the hammock pouch onto the harness like it does with Dryad’s belts. From what I could see of the edelrid harness that didn’t seem to be an option. Your answer confirms that

You're correct. The edilrid is a total closed loop design (really kind of a closed triangle). The dynaglyde loops allow me to slide the saddle pouch back and forth along the back to the edilrid waist belt area.

So I messed with my new LL the other day. I basically don’t even feel the leg straps. For fall arrest they seem like a good idea to keep. I loosen the fall arrest belt and leg loop area with a bit of slack, and use the hammock bridge as my only weight bearing part for comfort, with the other at the ready to catch me should something happen. I was napping in the sun. Quite nice. Need a knee pad on the tree or knee pads.

I do wear kneepads all the time, but I believe when I napped in my Drey, I just turned sideways to the tree. It was a breezy day and that was the best sleep ever
