Any chances the magnets are gonna mess with GPS? Or are they not that strong? I’m just thinking about magnets on a bino harness messes up GPS’s.
I wouldn’t think so if they’re on your back. I do know holding my arm out with the marsupial harness didn’t help though.

Any magnet will mess with any GPS if you get it close enough. They are pretty stromg
I am not following you guys here... GPS is not reliant on any magnetic field, it uses RF signals. A magnet will not affect GPS.

You’re right, it will not affect your gps, but it will affect the compass on your mapping platform.

That’s very true I misspoke and was thinking compass but was thrown off by GPS. Magnets should not affect the compass on your phone either it works off carrier signal.

With all that said if you are concerned about your compass being effected by magnets you should leave your iPhone at home. I replaced my backglass on my phone and there were about 30 super powerful magnets in the back of the phone for the air chargers I had to put back in place. I highly recommend against replacing your backglass. Took me every bit of 3 hours and several splinters of glass….misery squared!

So your saying the $109 I was charged to replace my back glass was a bargain :)

Depends how much you value your time. I only paid $12 for the glass spent 3 hours on it and when I got it back together the flash/light didn’t work. But yea… $109 is a bargain IMO…lol. Apple wanted $550!
