Arsenal Platform

Get mine tomorrow, curious how it’ll stack up. Have a feeling it’ll take second place to the v1 magnum and I’ll be kicking myself.

I don't think it will be much of an upgrade as it is a little smaller but from what I can tell, v2 has noticeable less flex.
Personally the flex doesn’t bother me, on rolled plate aluminum the worst is it bends, while cast just snaps(and takes considerably more thickness/weight to be sure that doesn’t happen). Plus I’m a featherweight. My issues are it’s not as light as advertised, I liked the old 2 teeth/deeper v upper, and I might miss that 16” wide platform

I had the same result at 200lbs with the supplied rope and the HFAS I have. Holds tight with a 7.6oz cambuckle strap though. May just use that. Very little flex, not as solid as the XOP. Never really been comfortable with the HFAS and it seemed to take too much effort to get right on my Edge anyway. Anyone know someone that makes quality, reliable and lightweight cambuckle straps?

I just set it on a telephone pole and a red oak. Top pulled away on both when weight put on very outside edge of platform (at least for me).

Same exact POS as the V1.0. Big nothing burger. Nothing new to see here, move along.

So you hated the first one and bought another?

Nope. Just the first one. Which if it didn't sell, I was ready to leave out at the mailbox with the rest of the trash. Prettiest looking non-performing platform of any I've tried yet and it looks like the new version is no better.

So full disclosure, I do have an injured elbow right now so maybe I just didn't the rope tight enough. I don't believe that's the case but just wanted to put that out there. I think there are much better attachment methods for model 2.0 just like there was for 1.0.

What didn’t you like about it? First and second one?

Didn't buy a second one. The first was enough for me. Attachment point is too low on the post IMO. A USA Pro or reg cam buckle was better than the stock rope but no matter how tight to a tree it would do exactly what @Gator showed and there was flex when tight beyond the "batwing" bracket floating away from the tree. I'm also 238lbs. for some added perspective.

Gotcha. Sorry read that wrong before. Thought you said you got the first and second one.

You have a point in the attachment point being too low but it's far from a POS. At 200lbs, the batwing did not float away under the cam strap granted I was only on it for under a minute. It still fills my needs in unparalleled storage and weight (granted its 5oz heavier than their claimed weight). It is the nicest finished platform I have ever held and I have played with a lot. Closest was probably a Latitude (wished they made a larger platform) but this is next level.

I may add my ring of steps around it above the attachment post to keep the top of the post in and give me some more versatility on the tree. Have to try that out now. I'll let you all know how that works out.

Hoping to get it on a tree this weekend but not sure if I can. 2.0 fits nicely in the predator pack though

Got mine out and on a tree and a telephone pole in the back yard and am very impressed overall. Weight came in just as others have reported which was disappointing but not unexpected at this point. That being said it’s a really well done platform in my opinion.

At under 3 pounds with attachment method it’s still very light, couple ounces lighter than my CFX. It’s got a little flex but nothing I was uncomfortable with at all (6’3” and around 210-215 right now). There’s is good amount of
foot space, personally I like the flat front of the CFX giving me more room as a leaner but I think there is plenty of space on either. Teeth on this thing are SHARP and I found the attachment easy to do quickly. I had no trouble getting it tight to the tree on both contact points and can’t imagine any kick out, I put as much pressure on it from all angles as I could and wasn’t budging it.

Bunch of pictures and some to try to compare it to the CFX since that is what I have that is close in size and weight, hopefully they help some folks. IMG_6488.jpegIMG_6489.jpegIMG_6493.jpegIMG_6495.jpegIMG_6494.jpegIMG_6496.jpegIMG_6497.jpegIMG_6498.jpegIMG_6490.jpegIMG_6491.jpeg

Thank you for a good and unbiased review. If I actually decide to go with a (another) stand alone platform. I will take this into consideration. I don't use one much, so not really in the market. Either way it looks good
