The JX3 Hybrid is really comfortable. The reason the original poster has complained about is the reason I do not use a regular saddle anymore. I could never hunt more than three hours without my back feeling like it was breaking. With the JX3 Hybrid I can sit all day long in comfort.

Ya i was out yesterday and today for hunting. Even my wife knew something was up seeing me still in bed at 530 this morning and walking around the house like a robot. Im calling it a season before I start buying more stuff (jx3) or become paralyzed. Good luck out there.

I wouldn't give up easily. I came to saddle hunting lifestyle because of acute back issues. I cant sit 5 min. in the car or a chair but am good for hrs in an Anderson. If you cannot find one, look at the Wraptor plans and make one. Wont cost you much to try it.
 
had a conversation with a friend about the back pain and he led me in an interesting direction. police officers get back pain (more like belt pain) from not only having lots of weight on their belt, but also from the rubbing of the belt on there back. This is inline with what the was saying about my previous saddle hurting my back because it was to big. So I would push it lower to prevent the issue.

Aeds I have been using the Flex this season and my Mantis has not been touched this year. The Flex has been super comfortable for me but I have NOT sat all day. My longest sits have be around 4-5 hours. When it gets a little colder and I think I may sit longer I will use the fleece along with the Flex. I know that will be way more comfortable.
