Thanks for the replies so far guys. I am in the testing phase of climbing. Last year I started with 3 sticks and sewn on aiders. From there I went to 3 Cranford rope steps and 3 sticks (removed the aiders), or combos of them depending on the tree, but disliked the rope steps. Then I went to 4 sticks and cut out the aiders and rope steps.
Wild edge steps have caught my eye for size. Weight isn't going to change much, and I'm OK with that. I do have 2 steps I've been fiddling wit, but I'm not sold on the stock rope. Time will tell.
