Badlands superday pack

With the buckle across my chest and the waist strap, I feel it’s distributed well. I went with a suggestion from a member on here to put a cam buckle strap around the whole pack and it really made a difference bringing the weight forward. I have my saddle, two releases, flashlight, thermacell, rangefinder, ozonics, binos, hand saw, 3 screw in steps, bow hanger, and Badlands rain jacket in my pack. I ride back a few miles on some of the pieces I hunt on my beach cruiser no issue with the weight. I love the pistol holder too, my glock .40 fits nicely. The pockets on the waist strap could be a little more anterior, but I really like the pack. It is also hydration pouch ready. You can also use the bow and rifle boot too relieve some pressure from the bottom. This is my second year with the pack. I transitioned from Badlands Black Jack fanny pack when I was using a climber. I would just clip it to the stand. Saddle hunting has changed me as a hunter.

What do you mean a cam buckle strap around the whole pack?

Put a strap similar to the one above around the mid section on the whole pack and pull it tight. Like a belt for the pack. It really brought the weight forward. It also helps reduce the bounce of the sticks as you walk or pedal.

Great tip, thanks for the images. $100 for a lifetime warranty can't be beat.

What are your thoughts on this one for saddle hunting and carrying sticks?

The nice thing about the Badlands gear is the warranty is unmatched. You could find the pack ripped up on the side of the road and they will replace it. They are awesome to deal with. I am sure that pack will get it done too.

Bought my super day late last night & it has already shipped

I bought the same pack last night to eventually carry my Tethrd saddle kit, predator platform and 5 lone wolf sticks.

I sold my Superday to a member here. It was a great pack but was too large for my setup now days. Also since loosing weight, the hip belt was too big. I am a 30-31 waist and the belt was loose when tightened all the way.

What pack are you using now? I'm the same waist size and was about to buy a Superday lol

Now I’m using an old badlands reactor. It is not in the same category at all. It’s barely more than a hydration pack. I don’t know what I will do if I have to carry late season clothes though. I guess just strap em on.

Any suggestions for a lot of big and tall clothing layers plus all the standard gear? I was looking at clutch but that might be too big?

Same here but substitute chopped heliums
