I also got mine in today. I'm very impressed. I've been moving away from sticks over the past couple of years, but these are a perfect combination of height and weight. Now I'm waiting for somebody smarter than me to successfully put a cam cleat on one and do a write-up!

This! But I plan on threading an aluminum rod.
I have some aluminum rod i was going to thread, but then I seen the piece of scrap all thread and it just so happened to be only 1/2" to long so I just used it lol I'm sure it's only a few ounces different and aint gonna make a lick of difference. One day when I get bored at work I may do the aluminum one.

Got mine in today. Stealth stripped them and really like them. It was tight but everything sunk in. Oh so light! They fit on my bag perfectly. The top and bottom step cup the top and the bottom of the Mystery Ranch Pop-up 28 just right. Leaving in the morning for an IL Doe Patrol trip to break them in.

You don’t put them in the hauler part of the popup 28?

Where is a good place to get that bolt and plastic screw. And what length.
You can get all thread and a threaded knob at pretty much any hardware store. Tractor supply, Lowe's, home depot, etc...

I'm going to build an aluminum one on the lathe here in a little bit.

Mine aren’t cut for that reason I burned them in so there are no loose edges, they kinda taper in at the same angle as the beveled hole. I feel pretty good about it, let you know in a couple years. (One season of use no wear)
What do you mean “burned them in”?

I used a small soldering pen & just melted all the holes out (stinks to high heavens) but effective. Then everything is pretty neat

Just used them for the first time with the JX3. They fit so snug. No rattle...dont add much if anything to width. It's like they were purposely made to fit together.

I weighed my stick on the kitchen scale today. Beast stick, fully stealth stripped ( no holes cut), along with a Versa strap was 1.8 pounds. 5 sticks are 9#.
