Best 2 panel saddle

I assume your older Aerohunter isn't the EVO since that's a pretty comfy multi-panel saddle. I'd add that to your list as a cheaper alternative if you can find one. I also have the method 2 and love it as well. I have no experience with the others mentioned here though so can't comment.

The short answer… a latitude method top panel with an archon lower panel would be the best 2 panel saddle.
Both are great saddles. The problem I have with the ESS, recon and “I haven’t tried it but I’m willing to bet”… the transformer, is that they have rings which just settle in where they want and therefore you can’t control the pressure points. I’m not saying the ESS isn’t comfortable, it is, but I would prefer it more if I could control the pressure. I’m thinking about cutting the D rings off mine and attaching a bridge right to the panel straps with prusiks.
I have a first generation dryad drey and I knew immediately that it needed to have a different cut to the material. It gave me bad pressure at the top and bottom because it was a rectangle shape. The new version of it is rounded at the top and bottom, and I bet it’s dynamite paired with the saddle you already have.
That CGM backband looks great too but I know nothing about it, or the timber ninja or the buzzard roost.
From the saddles I’ve used I would say…If you run heavy pouches I say the method 2. If you don’t run any, the archon or the drey.

Doesn’t look like much if ANY actual research went into that article at all. As for 2 panel saddles, the method 2 is comfy. I don’t want to take anything away from that, but if I were a 2 panel guy, I’d get either a Buzzard’s Roost or the Overwatch Outdoors Transformer. Buzzard Roost is lightweight and comfy, the Overwatch Transformer has a ton of features and is one of the highest quality sewing you’ll find in the saddle game. Also there are a bunch of single panel pleated saddles that you might find more comfortable than the one you have, if 2 panels end up not being your thing.
Bout to jump on the Buzzard Roost myself

You want the best then go to Overwatch bar none. The other saddles mentioned are good but nothing will beat the quality of Jamie’s craftsmanship you will be amazed at the quality and comfort and strength and if you had a special camo in mind he can accommodate you
