Best lighted nock

Nothing better then Firenock. They are expensive for a reason because they just are the best.

Firenocks for me. Tried lumen nocks and nocturnals. Stayed with firenocks.

I've been using firenocks for years now and had good luck with them. They are pricey and you need to pay close attention to the instructions. They are not something you can throw in a shaft and go, but if you take your time and set things up right they are awesome

I am a firenock fan as well, but I will echo that they ARE expensive, and they need proper attention to set up.

I'll also throw in one other comment the extra weight in the back stiffens the arrow, which usually allows me to you then also go with a heavier BH (in response to @will4554 (assuming you heavier set-up and don't want to get newer stiffer shafts <-no innuendo there))

@sad_story great information. The extra weight for me was nice also I like to shoot heavy arrows and heavy broadheads. The practice nock and weight is nice to have also. So many people shoot all year then throw on there lighted nock and think everything should be the same. Some lighted nocks weigh 10 plus grains more and depending on your set up it really could make a difference. Maybe not at 20 or 30 yards but if you like to reach out to 40 or 50 or 60 you could see a difference that means injured animal or complete miss instead of complete miss.

Basically if not already said PRACTICE with your lighted nocks. Not only can weight be different but the throat could be smaller or bigger and you could see nock pinch or it could be to loose and possibly cause a dryfire.

I just tried Glory Nocks, bought a set of 3. Neither of the 3 would stay on my bow string during draw. Tried tighten them up but not luck and inconsistent. Guess I will have to try something else.

One of the issues with some of the lighted nocks is that the power leg of the led that comes across the back end of your arrow, will leave a very slight indentation after being shot a few times, I believe this is what causes the issue. I have made some DIY ones that have worked ok, but there are issues with them as well. The best one I ever used was a red thill bobber light, and a 1/8-1/4 thick piece of wood dowel glued in the back end of the arrow. Bright, replaceable, easy to use. I just didn’t like gluing the dowel in. Used balsa wood, and a ca type glue, not real heavy. Never weighed that setup though.

After putting a tactacam on my bow I want to use a lighted nock to better see my arrow in flight on the camera. Cabela’s has the nockturnals on sale right now for 50% off. So I bought two packs one to try and one if I like them to go into the hunting arrows. After practicing with them at 20-45yds I really like them. My point of impact only changed when I got to 50yrs and I was still hitting the bullseye just on the bottom not the center. So it only changed an inch or two but I won’t be taking a shot past 40 wile hunting. They worked great season opens here on Monday I’ll let you know how they work after going through something!!!

I tried Lumenoks last year and HATED them. They were finicky as all get out. If they don’t just PERFECTLY fit the shaft of your arrow, they don’t turn on. If the back of your arrow isn’t perfectly smooth, they don’t turn on.

I would really like to run a lighted mock again, but will not be going back the lumenok and their over-complicated system. Don’t know what brand I will use...

Picked up some VAP lighted nocks to go with my new arrows (VAP TKO Elites) practiced withthemfor the past week. Fit the arrows well and have so far functioning flawlessly. Was a little concerned as the blue was no where near as bright as my old green nocturnal, but practiced in low light yesterday and was back to being impressed. They have a sleeve that you pull back to shut mechanism off with your hand (no tool) it is a little stiff to shutoff, but once you get the handle of it it works out well. I do have on nock that is tough to shut off(out of eight). I always end up using my teeth on that one. Hoping it loosens up with use. They were buy 3 get one free from mountain archery. My Vertixreally likes the heavier arrow setup. 28 inches at 9.5 GPI. 95 grain stainless outsert and 125 gr feild point. With the wraps, nocksand fletchings I am somewhere around 534

I used nockturnals for a few years, I going away from lighted knocks this year, there is too much going on with them, and most of the time my arrow is in the ground anyways
