Best saddle?

Before i buy a saddle id your input. I have no experience with a saddle so what have you tried that was above all else? What didnt work?
I could’ve hunted out of any of the saddles I’ve tried. However I liked the overall comfort and coverage of the XC the best. That doesn’t mean that there’s one out there that I wouldn’t find more comfortable. So I keep buying and trying

Also at this point I’m not exactly sure what else I am looking for in the saddle. I question why I can’t just be happy and leave it alone lol

Not me.....I'll replace when it's worn out....hopefully in 10 years
Lucky for me the best saddle I've tried is made right here in jax FL so I can go pick up local.....

I’d like to add one of those Original models. Focused on boots at the moment, so after that’s squared away.

For me it’s not which saddle, it’s which saddles.

I like having two. A pleated saddle and a single panel saddle.

I could get by with one, but two is better

There always seems to be a ton of love for the cruzr xc but take a look at the archon as well. Not a ton of reviews out there but the few I've found generally agree it's even more comfortable than the xc. Guess it depends if you prefer a single it double panel and for somebody with no experience that may be tough to determine. I have no experience with the xc; my spine is misshapen so I got the archon for extra support and i will say it's extremely comfortable and the adjustability helps a lot to go from sitting to leaning and vice versa. It seems like it'd be a little bulkier than some other options out there but coming from a treestand it's still a tremendous upgrade.

It's all subjective really. What works for me may not work for you
It took me buying and selling 4 different saddles before I found the one that fit me. Good luck!
This as well as many other suggestions. I bought a Hawk saddle because it came with a back band and price. It’s probably one of the cheapest saddles made and I don’t have $$ to buy another……I keep spending my $ on other saddle related stuff!

I was basically forced to make it work and I surely did! I have no others to compare to, but it’s very comfortable and I didn’t even use the back band the last dozen times or so. Tweaking is gonna be a big part of your saddle, no matter which you get. MORE coverage should give you more comfort, but like anything else, too much of a good thing can make things bad.
welcome to the addiction!

I think the consensus is that a two panel offers more adjustability but with more fiddle factor. I’d just start with those and look for features that you want. The Treehopper Recon is the cheapest option I believe and you can return it for a full refund if you don’t like it. The market is kind of saturated with saddles now IMO. You can resell and get most of your money back but not like a couple of years back when they were back ordered for months.

I have a Recon and it is a nice saddle.
Buy I picked up a Transformer from @JCLINE84 and this thing is very nice. Got a chance to sit in it some today.
Eliminates all of the fiddle factor with two panel saddles
The Transformer is going to give my Dryad some serious competition

Check out elevation custom saddles. I bought three, for myself and twin boys. We have been very satisfied, this was out first year. He makes a custom saddle to your measurements that makes makes sense anatomically.

I wish I had the ability to try some saddles out. Just not a lot of people saddle hunt around my area (yet). Two years in and three saddles deep. Phantom, Transformer and Reaper. The transformer is my number 1 but I’m still learning a lot.

How much?

For simplification purposes I’ve compiled a list of 2 panels and single panels that I consistently see the most repeat good things said about them and also multiple people leaving some other good brands behind for these:

2 panels :

overwatch outdoors transformer
Latitude method
Cruzr Archon

single panel :

Cruzr XC
Overwatch outdoors Orion
Lattitude classic
Honorable mention (strictly for short market time and also I can see that these are awesomely made) CGM Cobra and sidewinder.

hopefully this helps wade through a lot of people first choice that they moved from to one of these but I see the above mentioned praised the most over all.

Cruzr XC is a pleated saddle.
Orion is a buckle set pleated saddle.

These are quite a bit different from single panel designs.
