Bino harness recommendations

One thing I forgot to mention was that the marsupial has the quietest material. It’s not silent but better than any of the ones I have seen.

I’m in the Marsupial crowd. Love mine. Have the small zippered pouch and bow hanger from them as well.

I have settled on two different ones…I use and like my AGC Cub for turkey season because it has a bunch of pockets for locator calls and a pot call. But for deer season it’s a little too big and bulky. I had a Marsupial, sold and traded for a Kuiu and liked it but went back to the Marsupial because it’s quiet and it fits me and my binos better.

My Mystery Ranch has nice material too.
I have had a few made from Cordora or whatever and they're soo freakin' noisy that I won't wear them hunting...
Try drawing on a deer 20' below you with a Cordora harness tangled in your bridge and let me know how it goes.

I don't get why SADDLE HUNTERS keep recommending the brands that use that type of material to other SADDLE HUNTERS? Yea they might be nice on the range or bird watching, but NOT for saddle hunting!

I agree with you in concept but I've had a T&k for a couple years and it's just never been a problem. I will admit that my new fob does seem to be a lot quieter material.

I realized I hated the split rings on the Ricks, I had mounted the same connections on my Kuiu harness so I could quick change between them. But I was not really happy with that solution, I had to stealth strip the split rings, which wasn’t satisfying to me. So this morning I took some 1.75mm Dyneema I have and made some small soft shackles. Easy to remove, quiet. I just need to get some black shrink wrap to finish it off.BFE1A2FA-F5E1-41C3-801C-D85D58991B43.jpeg

Yea, my T&K just hangs on the back of a chair...
I like the build but I just won't use it for hunting East of the Mississippi.

Every once in a while one of these threads pop up, and I say the same thing every time. RY is the best. But use whatever as long as there's no magnets. Magnets obliterated both my 22 Ultra and my old Oneplus phone's navigation. The compass gets completely jacked. No, it made zero difference what distance I held my phone out. On more than 1 occasion I got completely turned around and bamboozled navigating in the dark because of them. I tested this extensively, going out 1 day with the RY, then the next my Marsupial. My phone is dead nuts on when I use the RY.

Does Kuiu make Sig's harnesses?
I'm thinking, maybe...

I read sumthin' either here or Archery Talk about it.
Not sure about who makes them but they are pretty nice. Buckles aren’t as robust as Marsupial’s but if you are in the market for new binocs you’ll kill two bucks with one arrow going with Sig. I’m not sure if all of their binocs ship with the premium binocular harness but I believe all their rangefinding ones do.

If you rely on any navigation equipment, stay away from magnets.

I just picked up a Catamount Gen 2 a couple weeks ago and so far zero complaints.
Looks cool. I've never heard of them. Are you able to put your phone in the front pocket when open? Or is there a workable place for a phone? I'm used to putting mine in the pocket between the harness and chest but it doesn't look like it has the breathable mesh pouch most harness have.

I picked up an AGC at an LGS about 10 years ago. I love it. Since then a lot of more options have come on the market.

The binos you want to encase are going to be the determining factor. 8x32s will fit in pretty much anything you'll find. I went through a lot of trial and error to find a case for my 10x Nikons.

Do you just want to carry your binos, or do you want to add a range finder, mouth calls, compass, holster, H20 pack, hand muff, snuff pouch, etc., etc.? I don't mean to be snarky asking that because having everything you need conveniently at hand - with minimal arm movement - is pretty great, and some manufactures have gone all-in on modular chest systems. Only having one set of shoulder straps by integrating with your pack or turkey vest cuts bulk and frees arm movement considerably. So think seriously about whether or not you might want to add anything besides binos, and look at who is making modular systems. I know AGC is but also know they aren't the only ones.

The front pocket is pretty small, you cannot put a phone in there, at least not so that it is fully covered. I'm thinking you could get a small side pocket that attaches via molle.
