Not the best picture but you can see its just a lineman belt with accessory cord tied with a blakes hitch on one side, the other side should be a quick link, in using a carabiner to demo. I'm probably going add something to tend the Blake's hitch.

I've tested it a bunch, started using it at the end of last season. I rarely used the lineman belt because I'm either using SRT or XOP hand climber. I was using this with my ancient spurs. Since I suck at climbing with spurs the tree squeeze is a must for me, unfortunately I have tested it lol, couple gaff slips.Ok; so Your hitch it tied too the carabiner which is against the knot blocking the carabiner. Gotcha. Have you tested that at ground level yet?

This looks great!I have considered it for the coming season, and even drew the following:
The issue that came up, is that with a fixed bridge, like in the drawing, you end up being a fixed distance from the tree. There would be some adjustability through the lineman’s belt, but very limited.
An adjustable bridge would work better, but add more weight and components.
Just my two cents.

X2 for me!!! I'm hanging my sticks with a linesman's as normal an my tether above, just in case. C'mon, guys-Tethered CAN'T be that busy!! LolWell Tethrd peeps, we are all looking at you to come up with a product for this already... ultralight would be preferred.

This is what I put together after watching some of the tree squeeze videos ,have fitted at base of a tree, but have not climbed with it yet. I made for use with my lineman's safety . Used two rappel rings and a doubled section of climbing rope ,the rope is stiched together about every 3" by hand. Will try to get more pictures later.. Also like the idea of increased safety.

Awesome idea. I'm afraid my head size to leg length ratio would insure a pretty fast 180 degree flip. I'm top heavy.you wrap your lineman belt around the tree coming in front of the tree first. When you come around the back side of the tree and clip into your opposite lineman loop, it makes an "X" in front of you. @flinginairos was the first to come up with the idea here so I dubbed it the "FlinginX".
Make sense?
