Nice. Something like that will let you do 90% of what you need to do on a regular basis. I can even do string changes on my Synergy with a bowmaster. Here is a vid of my setup.

What’s the 10% you can’t do other than fully relax to move limbs?Nice. Something like that will let you do 90% of what you need to do on a regular basis. I can even do string changes on my Synergy with a bowmaster.
You said it. As long as you don't need to remove a limb for some reason, that'll do everything really. What’s the 10% you can’t do other than fully relax to move limbs?

I have been using a Bowmaster coupled with a bicycle workstand for years. I love it! It is inexpensive and effective. The nice thing about the workstand, other than being able to use it for my bikes, is that I can get my bow perfectly level in all directions. Comes in handy for getting arrows level on the bow, setting my sights perfectly level, etc. I should make a video because I can press a bow really quickly with this setup. I think the whole setup can be had for a hundred bucks.

Mine is from Park Tool. PeteThis is great. Which bicycle work stand do you have? Id happily save $500 on a vice and press. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like it does the job!I made my home brew bow press (welded square tubing and fabricated screw jack) out of spare parts for free. If I had it to do again, I would get the fingers machined at a shop or somewhere even if the were $100 and still build the rest. View attachment 14640
Yea it works fine, I shoot a Bear and made it for slick limbs, then a buddy with a Mathews (with press pockets) wants a set of strings before the season starts. Kinda had to make some adjustments and trying not to scratch or blow up his bow...Looks like it does the job!
I'll probably mcguiver something up for my Bear Cruzer bow.Yea it works fine, I shoot a Bear and made it for slick limbs, then a buddy with a Mathews (with press pockets) wants a set of strings before the season starts. Does it shoot any different? Noticeably bent cams or visible splinters? You never know when you need a bow press. I Droped the old Mathews Z7 from 25 FT. Harmonic Damapers flew out of the riser it hit so hard. Kinda afraid it may fractured a limb that I cannot detect. If old @Nutterbuster was closer I would have him go through it.
I have this vise and a bowmaster press. I can do just about everything I need to do. Removing limbs is not an easy task but with the G2 fingers it can be done, I wont ever try it though. If I need new limbs I will make the shop do it. No offense to anyone that works in a shop but my luck with them as been zero so I decided to start learning myself. There are some great bow shops out there but unfortunately there are a lot more that are terrible. This guy makes a pretty nice bow vice as well

None taken. 5 years doing it. I can tell you I am far from the best, but I'm better than your average bear. Some guys I worked with got told they'd lose their booger-hooks if I caught them monkeying with my bow.No offense to anyone that works in a shop but my luck with them as been zero so I decided to start learning myself.
I don't see any splinters. It is shooting, groupings 1/2" to left with no elevation change. I don't think the sight moved. I one pin adjusted to center at 26 yd. Don.t feel any different vibration or here noise. QAD rest is not returning to center at full draw. If it was not deer season I would sent it to you. May work something out later.Does it shoot any different? Noticeably bent cams or visible splinters?
