Bow Recommendation.

Get a mid tier bow with rotating modules and adjustable poundage with a smooth draw cycle on the high poundage end. Go to a bow shop and spend 2 hours, also a good release and arrow rest are important. Good luck, don't buy the Chinese knockoffs, they are "disposable", many of the American companies will have parts for years. Yeah consider years of service or if you can sell it.

Based on the measure and divide by 2.5 it looks like my draw should be between 29 and 30". Would i need to ensure to get a bow that can go past 30" to be safe?
No you would be fine with a 30” but most bows now come in 1/2 “ increments so you could tweak it even more if needed. Just make sure the bow you get has a module that goes to at least 30”. With half inch increments you could get it dialed in by adjusting the module to 29.5 and then making minor adjustments to the string or cables to get it to even closer to your actual draw length.

Im in North Alabama in the Huntsville area.

If you get crazy and want to shoot a traditional bow, holler at me. I don't know squat about compounds, but Custom Archery Center on south parkway are good dudes. Full Draw on north parkway may have a better selection, but they have never been as pleasant to deal with. Copperheads outdoors up 231 towards Arab are nice folks too.

I'm in Huntsville too, obviously lol

Either way, try the vertical bow thing of some sort. You'll probably enjoy it either way. Worth a shot IMO. Never regretted it myself.
