I need a 2 pin sight. Mine is a 3 pin but I’ll never shoot at 40y in hunting condx.

my 2 are set 25 and 40 yards

spot hogg will make you any pin combo you want for a small upcharge

the top pin is horizontal and biggest size and green....bottom pin is angled up and one size down and red.....easy not to get them mixed up

Amen! I have newer, and have had older, but I swear there is something about the Triax. It is just a phenomenal bow imo

I’ve shot a multi pin sight my whole life, but when I switched to the Bowtech my pins were pretty close together and I have an astigmatism, so in lower light conditions, the pins would all just blur together, thus I switched to a single. I can leave my sight in the same position out to about 30 yards before having to adjust it, and I don’t really take a lot of shots past that anyway. I hunted with the setup for the first time last year and harvested one deer and really liked it.

Im not sure if I have ever seen anyone run their quiver upside down before. What’s your reasoning?

It acts like pendulum, keeps the top under control, while using only minimal hand pressure. Like a string dangling with a weight verses balancing a plate on a stick. Sort of a back bar, if that make sense?

Hoyt sorta does this, lowering that weight.

I prefer to add all the weight to the bottom of the bow, but never thought about flipping the quiver over. I equate it to trying to balance a hammer by holding the head down instead of up.

A hunting buddy talked me into buying a single pin sight, a few years ago and it has been the best improvement to my shooting. :cool: My concentration is greatly improved due to focusing on a single pin. Plus, I'm not second guessing myself on the yardage, after I've come to full draw. :rolleyes:
I shoot the yardage with a range finder, adjust my pin accordingly and make the shot. :)
I've set my single pin at 20 yards, then shot it at 25 and 30 yards, to see where it hits. This is in case I get caught in a situation that I don't have time to adjust the sight, but I still have a clear shot. At 30 yards I hold the sight pin over the intended point of impact, at half the distance from the pin head to the top of the level. The red line is my half way mark. At 25 yards, I have the sight pin sitting on the intended point of impact and it works out great for both yardages. Kinda like "gap shooting", but with a compound.

Have no plans too :cool: - wanted one for years and couldn't believe my eyes when I stumbled upon it on craigslist a couple years ago. It 100% pays to read the description on listings that don't have pictures, and the seller turned out to be awesome! Guys that think its a harsh bow - it's not. Smooth yet blazing fast. Unicorn to find one in left handed too. I've had countless offers to sell but not about too.

It's not as bad as you'd think. Doesn't seem to effect my accuracy at hunting distances at all. What it does do though, is allow me to shoot several minutes earlier in the morning and several minutes later in the evening because my eyes can take in all the light available to them instead of just what's coming through a tiny peep sight. Especially before leaf drop when it gets dark under the canopy with 15+ minutes of legal shooting light left.
