Sold my x2 , just didnt care for the overall layout. Now im down to a cargo box or badlands 2200... cant get a look at either besides you tube....anyone with some opinions?

I have an older 2200 that is a great pack. The one thing I don’t like is how it fits in a tree little to bulky for my liking, but using it as the pack that’s a diff story it hauls and carry’s very well. Lots and lots of miles on mine. I also have taken full advantage of the repair warranty they offer. But I am also a BL fan too as I have about 4 of their packs I use.

I have never owned either one.
But that Sitka looks nice.
Buy them both and sell me the one you dont like at 50% off, LOL.
Seriously, what ever you choose buy from someone with easy returns in case you dont like it.

Good plan...man thought the x2 would be the ticket but wben i got it it didn't check any of the boxes...i actually liiked my c.a.y.s. better

I have the Cargo Box. Great pack but I think it is a bit heavy for what you get. If you are not carrying a tree stand it is not worth the extra weight. Also will not accommodate a hydration bladder.

I had the original version of the 2200 and the new version (with about 5 other Badlands packs in between), and the 2200 (especially the current version) checked all my boxes. Awesome pack! That being said, I can't leave anything alone and now I'm using a Mystery Ranch Sawtooth 45 setup lol...

So I hope you don't mind me asking... But between the 2200 and the Sawtooth 45, which one do you like better? And why?

So the Sawtooth 45 comes as a "pack only" and therefore is slightly more customizable on the waist-belt pocket configuration, BUT primarily switched for the load shelf configuration on the Mystery Ranch and the amount of padding/torso adjustability. I'm at the point now where stuff would need to be packed out vs. dragged. As a hunting pack (disregarding the "pack-out" weight carrying setup/capability) I would probably still have my 2200.

I bought a Beartooth 80 and set it up for western/pack-in hunts, and decided I liked the setup enough to purchase the Sawtooth 45 (and yes, I know I could have bought a bag and used the same frame, but that defeats the purpose of having specific complete setups for me). I also switched from the Badlands BinoXR chest/bino pack to a FHF chest rig, and integrated it into my pack setup at the same time... Run-and-gun, early season/warm weather (if I don't need layers), I'll probably just run my chest rig and come back out to get my pack.

I've had the 2200 up to about 70lbs. and I've had the Sawtooth up to about 50lbs., so far.

So i have decided to go with the 2200, ive owned several sitka packs and decided to go out of my comfort zone. My torso is 19" which is the cutoff between medium and large...looking for advice on which size would be a better choice

Me too, I was told to go medium, although there's opposing schools of thought on that subject!

Well before i hit order i got side tracked and ended up with the eberlestock f1 mainframe and bat wings ...not sure how i got here but i think ill like it. Hunting, camping, hiking....might be a do all bag
