2. I don’t see what the benefit of a platform place 20” higher when you are already one sticking. There’s no limit to how high you can go. Plus separate platform is plenty more weight.

I was considering it, but thought of 4 down sides:
1. The downward slope of the scout could bust ya right in the shins when climbing
2. Your platform is only 8 inches above your step. A seperate platform can gain you 18-20 inches above the step.
3. The scout only drops this configuration by 2oz, and only increases the platform size by 2 inches in depth and .5 inches in width, although it does provide much more surface area inside of those parameters.
4. The scout configuration would force you to drop your cam cleat or button by an inch, putting you center of the stick or possibly below.
