Cruz saddles

Has anybody used the cruzr xc enough to see if the pleat wears out. I would like to know if the police will always folf backup or my going to have to keep pulling the bottom part of the saddle up after while

If you have the adjustable Amsteel bridge it is like another belt to hold things up.
Too many dump pouches on my saddles always drag the saddle to my knees

I do have the adjustable amsteel bridge and doubt I had it tight. i will have to give that a whirl and see if it helps. Thanks for reminding me about the extra "belt"

Yes I heard of it. The reviews are positive on the Cruzr XC so far. I have a Kestrel and a Flex so I am going to wait and se if someone else comes out with another mesh saddle like this one. That I can compare one against the other.

Can you comment on your thoughts between the flex and kestrel? I’ve hunted in a size 2 kestrel for 2 full seasons but want to downsize to a size 1 this season. I was dead set on getting another kestrel but I don’t know any different. How do you like the flex compared to it?

Quick question for any of you that have had a Cruzr and a Flex both in hand: Are the waist belts the same size? the one thing about the tethrd saddles that isn't comfortable to me is the narrow webbing used for the waist belts. I have a Flex now, and that extra wide webbing on the waist belt helps distribute the pressure and prevent "hot spots" or pressure points when in the tree. I'm really interested in a cruzr, but the waist belt size is a pretty big factor right now.

The belt on the cruzr is 1.5 inches

IMO.
The advantage of a cruzr over a flex is the mesh. It packs up nicer and the mesh has some give like fleece eliminating all hip pinch. The mesh is a different mesh compared to some other saddles I have used
It is a bit lighter too.

For the life of me i don't understand why the guy who did the video reviewing all those tree saddles didn't review the areo kestral flex tree saddle. It is one if most comfortable ones made at this point in time.

There are a ton of good saddles. The flex is one of them. I think the cruzr is better but New Tribes makes a great product.
Why is it better. More packable and stretchy mesh for a form fit to your butt. Smaller leg buckles. Two types of molle loops. And a bit more comfortable. I like the cruzr bridge better and the cruzr is a bit lighter.
But I used my flex quite a bit last fall and I liked it but the saddles keep improving.

I believe your right but aero kestral flex tree saddle is definitely in the the top 3 i would think its probably 2nd as the most comforta ble.
I do plan on selling my areo kestral flex tree saddle and getting a cruzr tree saddle its lighter wieght amsteal bridge i believe it's the best one right now at this point in time.

I have a Flex, actually brand new as it was just warranty replaced by Aerohunter. I also have a XC on order and a Phantom. I think I will keep the two expandables and most likely sell the Phantom.

Aero hunter will likely release a mesh flex

I bought a tethered phantom tree saddle for son hes like 12 years old. I think it fit him really well. What do think of tethered linesman belt a tree tether vs cruzr ropes?

The phantom probably fits him like a Cruzr would fit you.
I would consider a lighter rope for him. Less weight. 8 or 9 mm
Ultra tech or something similar. Like Oplux with a duck Kong.

Or if you want a very good rope that is a bit heavier I would go with tethrd.
As far as the tethrd or Cruzr ropes go. I can say the tethrd ropes are great but I have never tried Cruzr ropes, but Tethrd ropes are spliced and colour coded. I would go for the tethrd ropes if you don’t want lighter ropes. They will be a bit less bulk because of the splices.
Or wild edge has this ready to go light and expensive option made with Oplux and no knots.

This is an expensive light option

I would hang on and see what might come along. Just saying.

With the Cruzr in production, I can't help but reminisce of the days when we were awaiting the release of the Mantis. All I do is check for updates on Cruzr discussions. Pumped. I saw in Madhunts Adventures youtube channel, his molle loop webbing was a green color. I wonder if that's the newest color scheme??
