Custom knives

I authorized the modification with the man beforehand...kinda...

i think my hands are a little larger than Redbeard and I neutered it....I hope I can make a sheath worthy of the knife its holding. Can't wait to clean next year's deer and maybe next month turkey if I'm lucky

Done good buddy!

Just got finished with my own personal EDC. Had a good friend (@Razorbak66) send me some leftover Bocote wood from a riser he made long ago. The stuff has a beautiful grain to it. Antler is the base from @Weldabeast's knife. Ground the blade down to a classic sheepsfoot because I'm not a fan of long blades or swept-back blades. First picture was it prior to finishing and only included to show the original blade. Think it turned out nice.

That is a beauty bro. Just don’t cut yourself You made that grain pop looks awesome

I found a sheath that almost works but it doesn't hold securely.... But I have a template to copy....I hope I can make a sheath worthy....never attempted to make this kind of sheath before....hope I can use this old skin I've had laying around for yearsScreenshot_20220312-143514~2.png

Sheaths are easy just take your time. Wet molding is the key for these knives. I would personally make it a swing sheath style vs a belt loop because of the size the antler. Ol @Red Beard is kicking butt making these heirlooms you can pass on your offsprings
