For an all day'r I will take a small baggie of homemade trail mix, throw in a few pieces of jerky and a butthole sammich for lunch which is a bagel with justin's peanut butter with honey and a few slices of pre-cooked bacon.

Do you to really need eat (no) or are you eating because you're bored or because it's a certain time on the clock? In what amounts to less than a 12 hour time period for a dark to dark hang you wouldn't come close to depleting your body's energy stores.

Sometimes I get migraines if I don't regularly eat. Not something I wanna deal with 2 miles in a swamp or having to cross water at night.Unless anyone here is in low single digits for body fat % then none of you NEED to eat within a twelve hour period. Your body takes about twelve hours to digest the last morsel you shoved down your pie hole so technically AFTER twelve hours your body starts to use it's stored fat supply for energy which could keep you going for a few days with no ill effects.
I'm not making this up, do some research for yourselves. And to set the record straight I'm/we should keep this relative to a 12 - 24hr time period for healthy individuals. Those with medical conditions naturally have different caloric and nutritional requirements.

If your mental edge suffers because you’re not eating, you’re feeling sluggish because blood sugar drops, etc." - If this were true the human race would have died out ages ago because they hunted for survival and went days without eating until they finally made a kill. Fluctuations in blood sugar levels are related to insulin spikes caused by the type of foods you eat. If you are not eating for a time period your insulin levels remain at a steady state. How many of you got sleepy after eating a meal? I bet everyone has felt the effects of a good food induced coma. Now has anyone ever gotten sleepy when they felt like they were "starving" and had to eat something for fear of not making it another minute? Probably not. Now think to when you were in that "need to eat right now" stage. You probably weren't aware at the time but your mind was highly focused but it's just that it was solely focused on finding food to ease the hunger pangs in your stomach. The pain in your stomach is caused by hormones being released letting your body know your stomach is empty. If you keep your mind preoccupied while this is happening the "feeling hungry" sensation will fade away and won't return for hours. Try this for yourselves and you'll understand why I made the statement of "being slaves to your stomach". It's a mental game is all it is.

If you are hunting you should be carrying a solution to your problem. Shoot something, problem solved.I don’t understand why you would choose not to eat while hunting if you have the option. And what if you get lost deep on some public land, now you got nothing to eat?
