Ditch the Ropemans and Try a Figure Aider (3D Printed Prusik/Distel Tenders)

Here’s an idea for your 3d printing pleasure. How about a folding bow hanger? I had a buddy print one. It wasn’t exactly what I had in mind but it worked. Ended up being too thick/wide for my liking so I stuck with the one I’m using. It was light and strong though.

I received my tenders yesterday, and they're legit! I much prefer these over the webbing type tender! There is a little weight so I'm considering using a rubber band or perhaps a hair tie to prevent the tender from falling down the rope and clunking on my carabiners.

I'm all about making my own gear but the ones for sale on doublesteps.com are less than 2 dollars.....granted shipping would drive up the price but you'll more than likely order something from dano anyway.....throw it in the cart. I was going to make something similar to the aluminum 1 posted above but figured I'd give the other a try first since it was so inexpensive and works fine..... No sweat or cleanup involved...

Awesome guys! Excited to see more and more guys use them. I used heatshrink on my carabiners to help hold them in place and quiet them down.

I wanted to post it within this forum for one to share the idea, which if you have a printer I would love to send you the design for you to print it out. Two, I want to get some feedback on what you guys think of it. If you have any suggestions on what you think it needs, or you would change. I know there are a few guys in this group that use prusik tenders still, and I would love to hear what you like and dislike about them. Finally, if you have any other ideas that you could see 3D printed I would love to hear about them. I have a few crazy ideas that I'm thinking of, but I want to hear what you guys need or want to see.

Hey guys thanks for all the positive feedback! I was able to crank out a lot more of these this weekend to prepare for more guys being interested in these little Aiders!
