I just finished my build of a budget camera arm. very similar to the Hunting Beast and Lone Wolf. Saw a video by Jerry Grose that inspired my build. I did a lot of the work on a bridgeport but it could be done using drill press and a saw. It turned out really well and is very stirdy.

Love it! I am said Jerry Grose. Very nice work sir! While I agree, it CAN be done with a drill press and a saw, not to that level of awesomeness, and not be cost effective! I know a guy that knows!:tearsofjoy:
Suscribed, BTW!
Will the real Jerry Grose please stand up

That's a good looking ball joint, I've been looking for something like that! Do you know the brand?
I have a few of them that came with a boat I bought, all aluminum parts. I have looked all over it for a manufacture, but no luck sorry. and similar rod holders I found online are very expensive.

New to the form, but this looks awesome @JBHuntin! well made! I also plan on filming hunts this year and made my own arm recently, mine is based on the Fourth Arrow design. The ball and socket joint is from a trolling rod holder.

@Hickel24 I made a camera arm several years ago with a base modeled after a muddy arm. I want to make my arm removable from the base and make a base similar to the fourth arrow base. What did you use for the pin at the end of the arm?

@Fnnrdv its just a .500" diameter aluminum rod that is a nice slip fit into the base which is HDPE. The arm is 1"X.060"Wall with plastic press fit ends for bearing surface.
