DIY Spur Shin Cups

Bashlins are Cadillacs Best gaff angle in the industry period I hunt with tree gaffs but only because i climb some pines with thick bark from time to time
 
What kind of pads you running on yours I have some sport climber pads on mine for now but want a differnt set

you guys using spurs...what's your preferred flipline/LB? Does anyone use a steel core when hunting?
 
I don’t use a steel core flip line but have thought about trying it but I use just a regular lineman rope for saddles and take my time climbing up
