Don't use Rage Chisel Points with twisted tip!!

I am one of those who turned down my bow a bit. I`m at 52.5 lbs now 27.5 draw and using dead meat mechanical broadheads . They have matching ballistic practice points and are super easy to tune. Only down side I see is they make a little noise in the quiver but none in flight. Shoulder shots no problem with these.

Can’t use any of the mechanical heads here in Idaho. I believe we are the only state that has not legalized them for big game.

I worked at a bow shop, hunter comes in, I want broadheads, fixed or mech. I don;t use mechanicals, . at some point he says I shot a deer right in the shoulder, broadhead fell apart. I finally told one the next time you shoot a deer in the shoulder, use a 30.30

I miss working in a shop some days. Then I hear stories like this and don't miss it.

My favorite was folks who wanted the bow tuned to them. I'd shoot bullets through paper. They'd practically fling the arrow sideways. They'd want it adjusted. I'd refuse and tell them they were torquing the bow so bad it's a wonder the string was still on the cam. Literally would stand behind them and take pictures. Had one guy who I stood behind and had him adjust his grip until it wasn't torqued. Lo and behold, his bow shot bullet holes!

But, "it just didn't feel right. That's not how I shoot, and I've been shooting for years."

So we moved his arrow rest until the adjustments were maxed out and he was shooting something that resembled a decent tear. :)

haaha we would hide our paper tuner and tell most we didn't have one target guys new about it, but without correct or at least consistent form it was a waste of time

Report from the field: Fixed blades v. Bone... yesterday evening I shot a doe with my crossbow. I used a 150 grain fixed blade Boltcutter broadhead. The Broadhead went through the heart and broke the leg on the other side. Still, she ran 75 yards! Normally, I use mechanicals, but I’ve had these boltcutters laying around for a years.
