just bought a hoist off amazon. Does the belt clip work good for the kestral or how do you guys attach?

It looks like it should fit, but it will be tough, the kestrel loops are tight.

I think I have clipped mine to the molle on my Kestrel before. I kind of got away from stuff on my saddle. Now I keep it clipped to my pack. All I haul up is my bow.

I'm kind of the same. If I load up the saddle too much, I need suspenders.

The clip can be ground down to fit, but it is robust and will take some work. I used a malice clip to attach the hoist to the MOLLE loops on my kestrel.

You can use a big sip tie on the Kestrel and then attach the hoist to the sip tie. That's what I would do if I attached it to my saddle. Mine is on my pack .
