For those of you who bought the ultimate one stick, what length stick did you go with? Also, how many steps on the aider and what distance for the steps? Looking to purchase, but not exactly sure the optimal step distance.

Merry Christmas

The ultimate one stick from EWO comes with a scout. I like my 15" stick with a two step 17" step height aider. As mentioned, it is personal preference and take into consideration how stumpy your legs are and factor in climbing in cold weather with layers.

I like to run a shorter stick just for the profile of packing it in and a 2 step aider with 18” step.
I’m 5’11” and can use a longer aider in the summer but prefer it shorter as I add layers when the temps drop.
It’s a very individual thing decided by your overall size, flexibility, and the amount of layers you need to wear to keep warm in your location.
You could use a tape measure and find out what a comfortable step is for you and I feel go just a touch shorter of that measurement.

Thank you for the replies. Who all placed an order today?
I ordered one this morning

I’ve had a similar setup before without a couple of the features on this setup and it worked very well together.

This time I plan to add a step on each side of the tree for longer sets.

15 inch stick, 3 step aider - 16 inch spread, straight scout.

Will be an upgrade from my Beast Stick Mini with one 18 inch aider and cam buckle.

Ordered November 28. Hopefully I'll see it this week.

These are on EWO today for pre-order.

(Just realized this stick is the one this thread is about... lol missed this product until today. I thought this was the regular ultralight stick at first. Cool that they put this kit together.)

When you guys pack the stick up, what do you do with the the 2 step aider? are you folding it up on the stick? wrapping the stick? bunching it up and tying off?

I have the 2 step aider sewn in and put on original beast sticks. each stick with the aider gets me 7' off the ground

I cut my lone wolf sticks to 20" and find them difficult to reach. I'm 5'10". I ordered EWO Ultimate stick at 15" with a three step aider at a spacing of 16".

@Ghost Pointer I've wrapped the aider lengthwise then wrapped the rope lengthwise leaving a little to wrap around the middle and back into the cam cleat, makes a neat little package. Hope that makes sense.
