Equipment for SRT

You need 60 feet of THROWLINE but only 30 feet of rope. Imagine you tie the tail end of the rope to your throwline and pull it up so you have the other end of the rope in front of you. Tie your figure eight loop in your rope and pass your throwline spool through this loop. Pull your throwline and your rope will go up and the tail end will come down with the rope girth hitched to your tree limb.

Just got my equipment for SRT climbing yesterday and threw my rope up about 10 feet to give a couple practice runs up and down. Round 2 is today. Thought about this for a minute and knew it had to be that simple.
