Truthfully I limit my hunting distance to 35yd at the very outside. I'm typically setting up for inside 20 when I'm picking trees in a hunting situation. I will occasionally shoot to 40-45 during pratice when I'm practicing out of a tree just so it makes my self imposed limit shot seem closer when it counts.

Edit: My setup is pushing my arrows in the 240-250 fps range.
Yeah i shot a lot under 50 yrds but i do hunt field edges sometimes. I always want to be ready for that long shot lol

You be good....my insert/broadhead weights more than your whole arrow. I think @DanO Is selling the ezv on easternwoods outdoors. Try it out... it clicked instantly with me and my shooting improved.... should be able to sell it easily if you don't like it. I know it has a guarantee if you get it from the manufacturer.... maybe dano can state if that guarantee applies if bought through him

Yes, I'm an authorized dealer so the 30-day guarantee applies.

I have a Garmin and an EZV, been shooting the V for 3 years. I'm finding it harder to shoot as good with the Garmin as I can with the V...which stings a little cuz the Garmin ain't cheap.
I took my deer target and moved it to quartering away, framed it and shot 2 arrows, both touching but farther back than I would expect. Go to the target and the arrows would have double lunged and severed the aorta. Perfect shot placement...with a pin I would have shot too far forward.
Sighting in takes minutes, super intuitive, and bulletproof.

That’s good to know. Do you think that shooting the Garmin improved your form to the such that it made the EZV a better choice?

I say that because I upgraded my whole system last month after 17 seasons of the exact same rig. I struggled with sight choice. I had shot a single pin (Vital Bow Gear).

My decision came down to the EZV and the Garmin. I chose the Garmin because a couple of friends who have it told me the best feature was the reticle that shows you if you are torquing the bow. So far, I agree. Some days I will go to shoot first shot of the day and the dot is perfectly centered in the circle. Some days it ain’t. That’s all on me and inconsistency in my grip. Some of that could be because it’s also a new bow. I would be interested to see how consistent I would have been if I would have put the Garmin on the Mathews LX that I shot for the last 17 years.

Anyway, I think the reticle could help if I have to take a weird angle shot from the saddle, but maybe that could also be remedied with a smaller peep and a nose button or kisser button without as many moving/electrical parts?

I guess I could get to the point where my form and grip are so consistent with the new bow that I could consider switching to the EZV.

It's designed for getting used......minimal moving parts and all the components are rugged. No worries about sticks going inside the sight housing and bending pins or over tightening some tiny little screws that strip out easily. Shooting in low light is much easier without pins blurring up what I'm aiming at.

I had the ezv before the Garmin, so the reticle had no effect on it. Plus it only shows up as you're ranging, not in fixed pin mode.
I think having full view of the target vs a dot covering it makes a huge difference.

Been using one since Aaron came out with them and find it very instinctive to use. I practice 40 yards and under and hit the vitals as much as I ever did with pins. I also have it coupled with the Bow Anchor Sight because I hate peeps. Love having the majority of my focus on the target and it is freaky how your coconut computer knows how much of your target needs to be in the "V". Also something about the "V" keeps your shots in a vertical string and left and right variations are kept to a minimum. I am real old school in my setup as I still use a Fletchmatic rope release because of my hatred of D loops. Of course I have a pretty short draw so I can get away with this (27"). I don't want a lot of finicky things to worry about when the shot opportunity arises.

I stay 30 and under..... there isn't an insert slow enough for me to use the V as intended with my slow bow and heavy arrows

This is what I’m worried about with it. I’m a 26”dl and almost 500gr arrow so I’m around 235-240fps. I thought I saw where ranch fairy turned his V around and custom marked his V to the yardage for his bow.

You can also vary the level in the "V" you view your target and you might lose some yardage but still give you an accurate reference for closer shots.

Put an EZV on a second bow I recently bought and will probably buy another of these sights for my primary bow it's that good. Took me no time at all to sight it in, and this was on a bow that didn't have a sight on it to use the pins as a reference. Amazing how much tighter my groups are compared to a pin sight that I worry about breaking arrows if I aim at the same spot on the target.

Just order one to see if it’s to my liking. If it works out I will order a second one for the backup bow.
