Wish I can say I did research or poured thousand of hours. But they are feathers and jig that I inherited from father-in-law. At first I was surprised that he only had left wings as he is a right hand shooter. But he said it was simple supply and demands, when he was into trad bows, left wings were cheaper and he saw no noticeable improvement from right wings.

I’m basing most of my decisions off of preference but I think I talked myself out of caring about left and right wing, offset, or helical again. Lol

If I wanted max rotation I would care more and go left wing, left helical, left single bevel broadhead. I think Im going to stick with straight. I did get left wing feathers (which I needed because I was out). So I’ll use them going forward.

Same, I'm still very new and 'feathers are friends'. Not good enough to shoot 2 feathers like the cool kids. @Red Beard @GCTerpfan
Not even a question of good enough. Next time you make an arrow up... fletch one feather and then take the arrow out of the jig, flip over, fletch another feather on the opposite side, and go shoot. You'll be amazed.

Which feather is the cock feather and what’s the orientation — or | ?

Normally orient mine like this \ since I'm a lefty
Hmmm, I could see that for an off the shelf bow. Don’t you shout rests though? I guess that same orientation would work .

A4: Bohning Fletch-Tite Platinum
Q5: “ “ “ “ feather fletching jig?

A6: Left Helical (I'm right-handed)
Q7: “ “ “ “ feather colors?
A7: 1 White, 1 Pink, 1 Blue

Rw helical or offset if you can. Wind can distort the straight fletch more so than helical
I like low profile bananas or slanted Indian style with 1/4” in front tapering to 1/2 to 5/8” depending on my mood I either chopped or burn 4.5 to 5.5” I will use 2 fletch 75% of the time and 3 fletch the other 25% I like them bright so lime green or chartreuse and hot pink and white with corresponding wraps I use a glue and activator I get from my buddy it’s the best I’ve used but in a pinch I use whatever is within eye reach in my man cave Feathers I have used just about every brand over the years and they all work fine but I pay attention to the quill I either sand or trim when needed and use my bitz or bpe pro class for all fletching needs with the most msssive helical I can get out of it per diameter of shaft and yeah yeah I know helical robs speed but man my arrows are stable in all weather conditions and if I have to refletch then oh we’ll I will refletch Feathers are expensive so I try hard to get 2 per feather if I can and I do save the odd cuts for splicing and crazy flu flus
I’m a lefty 75% of the time and when I shoot righty I use lw I feel it stabilizes better for me but your mileage will vary
