Anyone have a fav they like? Right now I have a hodge podge of knives that somehow always get misplaced, would like to keep all the offenders in one spot.
 
I like my outdoor edge, or my old Gerber gator grip but I usually gut em and drag them. Butchering and skinning includes a bubba knife kit, and a chefs knife.

I guess I shoulda asked that as i process all my own deers. I've heard good thing about those Bubbas, my hunting partner swears by them. They really that awesome?

I got the kit with 1handle, 4 blades. Past year i Put them through the paces with trout, catfish, perch, panfish, deer, rabbit, squirrel...you get it. I like them.

I’ve got the browning folder with a knife, gut hook, and a bone saw. Really like it

I have a Kershaw Alaskan Blade Trader, leather sheath with 3 blades. Drop point, skinner gut hook and bone saw blades. I’ve been using this set up for about 18 years. Always holds a great edge.
 
I field dress with about anything, but I process with a dexter ussel boning and skinning set I’ve built up and really like them. Relatively cheap and easy to sharpen.

Treehopper has a nice multi blade folding knife for field dressing - and it’s priced right:



You’ll still need a good knife set for your home processing, but this is nice for field dressing.

I use a Havalon Piranta for the dirty deed and a short gerber bone saw for the sternum. They get the job done for me
 
I've used a Benchmade Hidden Canyon Hunter to field dress with the last 5 years, and it has been a great little knife. I use an Outdoor Edge kit to process with. It always gets the job done.
 
I use a mossy oak set from Walmart. 25 bucks. Its got the wood layered handle like the old us marines military issue knives. Then i use a Victorianox 7 inch curved filet knife for butchering. The filet knife holds an edge awesome. The mossy oak set i have to sharpen after each deer but it sharpens quick. Those outdoor edge knives and the havalon look cool but it doesn't take me long to sharpen the cheap ones. Im more particular about my broadheads. Once its dead I can take my time ;)
 
As a food safety specialist I feel the need to point out this is NOT food grade. However, the backwoods Alaskan in me applauded your effort and ingenuity

I don't think dragging a deer through the dirt is food grade either. :D Now that I think about it, I don't think anyone's field dressing knife is food grade.

The op asked what we used and how it worked. This exactly fits that description. I try to never give my opinion on something I have not used. How would you know how good it works. Osmosis? :D I butchered my deer with that knife as well and had no problems. The blade cuts top and bottom which proved to be useful for filleting off the bone.

Sounded like he was looking for a "kit" that has all the tools in one place so he doesn't lose one. Thats what the title says. I guess if that's the only tool you use for everything its exactly what he was asking for lol. I just figured he meant like a saw, skinner, gut hook, boning...etc. I dunno man no big deal I didnt mean anything by it.
