For those 2 panel-ers

I've had one of these for about a month. Haven't taken it to the woods but I've messed in the back yard. Its pretty stiff and the buckles are kinda jingly. Its comfortable enough but not as comfortable as my RCH and Bosun Seat Combo.

I got the double D model just to try something a little different. I'm also thinking it may be easier if I'm real high and/or want to switch to Ddrt to advance above my initial tie in point. Between all of us we should be able to make some useful conclusions with this saddle.

I would love to have an arborist saddle and I would probably add a bosun seat (kind that clips on and stays there) and use it exclusively. BUT, I dont want it $500 bad...

I have been using this model with sliding D for two years. I have added padding in both the seat and the back support to make it comfortable to hang in for extended time periods. I added an H harness so the saddle doesn't keep falling off my waist when hiking. I taped the D rings so the carabiners don't bang against them. I used black die to try to cover the florescent green back strap.

I bought this arborist harness because I couldn't get a hunting saddle in time for hunting season. The Pro's: This is a good safe saddle if you want to get into saddle hunting inexpensively. The metal D rings are easy to clip carabiners to. There are 3 accessory straps for stuff. The cons: It is not very comfortable and it is heavier than a hunting saddle.

I imagine this conversation at sherriltree
employee 1: wow we sold 43 of these clearance Notch D saddles out of no where today... thats so strange
employee 2: what's so strange? That's a great mark down on a qaulity entry level arborist saddle.
employee 1: yea, I guess so...

Employee#3....guys...guys....u know those crappy green harnesses we had laying around forever.....I forgot to update inventory and we only got 5.....I'm gonna get fired aren't I?!

For those that bought this, let me know how it is please! I'm interested but don't know if it'll be comfortable.

That's what I first thought about 2panel slings/saddles but my mind changed quickly after I hunted in one. I hate I waited to try and one until I was so fed up with my other saddles. I sold my others that same week. I could be wrong, but judging by the looks, this thing should be a lazy boy.

I'm asking more about the arborist saddle vs something like the method or recon.

Wonder if the webbing on the floating d model slides through that d ring easy enough for rotating to look/shoot behind you, or if the better bet would be to buy 4d model and remove the front d rings and make a rope or web bridge?
