FYI: Wood Hunting Saddles Closing Up Shop

I just got on the Wood Saddle site and it says they are closing on 10/1 of this year. I don't know anything that is going on but I am sad to see it. Maybe we can try and get the rest of their inventory bought out and make the transition as smooth as possible for one of our own on here.

Hate to see it happen to one of the good guys. Thoughts and prayers for @Fl Canopy Stalker and family. I really hope closing the doors was their decision for something simple like the numbers didn’t make sense.

one of the best! Always had time to discuss options, make climbing safety recommendations, and modify existing equipment. I can count the guys like him (in the saddle world) on one hand.

I’m really surprised. As others have said I hope all the best to Mr. Wood and his family and hope that this choice was something that he wanted and needed to do. He’s added so much good to the saddle world, particularly on this forum.

Yeah this is a bummer for sure. Hopefully things are okay with him and his family! And hopefully he still contributes to the site! He always offers great opinions. He’s obviously extremely knowledgeable about saddle hunting but also comes across as humble and kind in his posts. I’m really bummed because a Woods Hunting Deluxe was going to be my next saddle purchase!

Extremely saddened to hear of this. Safety was always his top priority in disseminating information and helping others less knowledgeable. Praying everything is ok.
