I’ve carried 2 this way. I much prefer quartered and on a frame pack now lol
It is pretty amazing what can be accomplished with a modern frame pack.

My first buck ended up with a sizeable bare spot on his cape from a long drag over hard terrain. Taxidermist wanted to change capes, but I opted to stick with what I had hunted, shot, dragged...as a reminder of what it takes.
Don't have a lot of experience with sleds. On dry ground it seems dumb to me, but what do I know.
This is offensive! Sorry bro most of us CANNOT DO THAT! Your a straight up bad azz! I have thrown a small hog over my shoulder and carried her out, ONCE! Does that make me a little bad azz?
I’ve started seeing some of his traditional archery hunting videos lately. He’s got a good channel. The way he handles the quarters by leaving some hair on to help the grip will make a big difference for me. My hand is usually about cramping by the time I get done cutting all the quarters off because I’m having to squeeze so hard so it doesn’t slip right out. Thanks for sharing. There are a ton of videos how to get it done. Warren Womack has a great one, but this is the best one I’ve seen. He’ll show you how to go through and separate the front knee as well…..it jacked up on me, but it is Chris Sikes
