Gear Strap

They stay open slightly. Can’t guarantee if they are worse or better than the EWO. Works well for every time I’ve used it.
 
I quit using a gear strap after about 2 seasons. Found it was just easier to attach my pack to the tree via some paracord and leave everything in that. I do use a Heroclip for my bow / rifle attached to same paracord that my pack is attached with. So I guess in a way kind of use a gear strap...idk take it for what its worth.
