Genuine Beast sticks?

I have Beat Sticks and the new Tethrd One Stick and tried out the Lone Wolf Custom sticks . I use the Tethrd sticks when I have long walks; they are significantly lighter and pack together tighter. For short walks I use the Beast Sticks, they secure to the tree better than any stick I have tried. Daisey chained Amsteel makes them super quiet and easy to secure to the tree.

I did not care for the LWC steps, I had the ones with the foldable steps and the bracket that secured to the tree moved. No good for me.

Unless you are walking long distances, Beast Sticks are the best sticks - imo.

I've used the versa aider on my sticks hundreds of times with no issue. Indeed I have heard dan say not to use the versa aider but I've not experienced nor have I ever seen a report anywhere on any forum of an incident happening over it. My 2 cents
I just asked the question and this is what they said.

"
my issue with the versa button method in this video is that the versa buttons are design to take force back against the tree as the strap pulls both sides of the button to load the stick to the tree, the downward force is offset by the setting of the stick. When you loop an aider directly onto it and stop onto it, your full body weight is being loaded onto the single grade 8 bolt and shaft of the button that makes up the component. And the shearing force is straight down. You lose the combined strength of all the other components of the stick

if you run a loop aider that attaches to the step https://doublesteps.com/product/sewn-aider-with-loops-for-the-ultimate-lower-step/ then you maintain the strength in the step and the combined components of the stick to hold your weight

and the step is designed to take load forcing down on it at the ends

make sense? these DIY companies that make this stuff do not always consider the engineering behind what they are recommending

I would buy ones that attach to the step

thanks

Tha nks for reaching out to HB for a direct response. I have EWO Ultimaider that attach to the steps, so that should work just fine. Mine are at the bottom....first stick just above ground level.
