Gold Tip trad only 600 spine dozen for only $42 on Amazon!!!

The amazing discount keeps popping back up. I snagged a few more. Not sure what is going on, but it is a great deal!
It’s nuts. I paid more for a single dozen of 400s than I did for two dozen 600. I may give my most beautiful bow a shot this year. Really looking forward to tuning.

Nice. I have been using trad vanes for past two years. So I don’t have a feather to give.

Nice. Im thinking of jumping ship on feathers. I love how they look but im pretty hard on them and they dont last long. Any regrets on trad vanes? Do you use AAE glue? Seen any of the waves that some people complained about? Special fletching advices?

No regrets in vanes. I have two arrows that I have to refletch out of the 10 I have left from the dozen I made three years ago. Don’t remember at all what glue I used. I use a regular old left helical fletching job but debating on going to a straight clamp and just angling it. I don’t know about any complaints, but I don’t really read much on things I’ve used for years lol.

Dude is telling me his 10 of 12 trad vane arrows has lasted 2 years, I'm lucky if my feathered arrows last a session without one getting damaged. Well...to be fair, I'm using feathers that I got from a yard sale that is probably older then I am. They look fine but maybe there are some deterioration that I'm not seeing. I might go back to feathers once I'm more comfortable and accurate, but right now its easier to clean dirt from vanes....if you know what I'm saying.

That move came because I was living in Louisiana and the humidity alone would drench the feathers lol. I also hunted in the pouring rain a lot.
There aint but one reason for excuses. You know you is WRONG for cheatin!!! It's ok though, I've shot compounds muzzleloaders and even a gun or two. Not proud of it but I have to own it.

I made the batch of arrows in in may of 2020 when I got the Toelke. I lost two of them and only two need to be refletched currently. They’ve been incredible.

If your gonna keep shootin them in the dirt you might want to just stick to bareshafts. ;)

Semi serious question. Why is it in archery everyone wants arrows to last forever or at least a long time? You ever see a rifle shooter trying re-use a bullet? And dont come at me with I save my brass and reload. That brass is an arrow shelf, it just holds the bullet in place until the shot happens.

Serious question, I have a bow that is 25# @ 28" I draw 29". Think you could get a 600 to tune? The bow was my Mother's and I havent tried to set up any arrows for it. I bought a few easton jazz arrows for my wife to try it and they shot fine for her but way to light and short for me to shoot.

Can't answer for everyone, but cost/benefit in regards to time for me. Father of 5 kids under 8, full time job, long list of to do list around the house. I have very limited time for personal hobbies, not complaining, just facts. So I rather use that time to shoot then re-fletch arrows. Don't get me wrong, I have learn to love fletching my own arrows and enjoy looking at a complete product, but I rather put that time into getting better by USING the arrows. I hear testimonies of "I just fletch my arrows while watching something on Netflix". Well good luck doing that with 5 little kids running around.

Once the kids are at the age when they aren't whacking each other with toys and are too 'cool' for their dad, then I might try more classical arrows.

I think you can, just try full lenth then up the weight like usual. Is it a bow with center cut?
