Are wife's welcome she's into hunting just can't get her in a saddle yet
Certainly! All are welcome, especially anyone new to hunting or saddle hunting, but please fill out the survey for each person attending so we can plan for enough food.

Signed up and looking forward to putting some faces to the forum names!!! Also forgot to include that I have a RCH and rope steps in the available equipment section!!

Would love to be there but I'll be out of town that weekend for work. I assume the date isn't flexible at this point? :)

Sorry, the date was picked to fit our hosts schedule best, so is fixed.

Fully understood. My question was was more to express I wish I could be there! I knew it couldn’t be changed at this point :)
Yes, wish you could make it too. Hopefully we can make it an annual event and expand.

1 week to go now! Last call for signup so the cooks can confirm the food needs! We have 25 signed up and 5 or more still tentative. This is going to be a demo you don't want to miss, almost every commerical saddle, climbing method, platform, and a slew of DIY options will be represented. We have received great support from the saddle vendors for product demos and giveaways and will post more about that very soon. An email will go out this week to all signed up with specific details about the event, including the schedule, address to the parking area, event contacts, and reminders for things to bring.

The weather gods are smiling on us and we will have good weather on Saturday finally!

I want to give a huge shout out to Shawn (TrophyLine), Mark (Treehopper), Matt (Out On A Limb), our own DanO (Eastern Woods Outdoors), and Lydia (Wild Edge) for their generous gear and swag donations for the giveaways, and thanks to Greg (Tethrd) for providing a demo kit. Be sure to check out their sites and order some more gear!

An email went out to all signed up, but I wanted to post a few details here again.

Event Schedule:
10am - Noon: Introductions, kickoff, and vendor product demonstrations
Noon - 1pm: Lunch and giveaway drawings
1pm - 4pm/close: DIY items and continued vendor demonstrations

What to bring:
  • $5/per person to cover food costs. If you end up bringing someone not already signed up, that is perfectly fine, we will plan for extra folks.
  • Folding chairs for lunch or relaxing while watching demos.
  • Any saddle or hunting related gear you wish to share during the demo. Based on the signup data, we are going to have one of the largest collections of saddle hunting gear ever assembled in one location!
  • Any gear you wish to trade or sell. Bring cash and/or have your PayPal ready to roll!
Location/Parking
Parking for the event will be in the pool lot on the left as you come in on 369 Swift Creek Cove, Clover, SC 29710 (35.084834, -81.081047) - when you see the power lines, turn left just past them. There will be a cart shuttle to the event site from the lot.

My son made another one of these and it will be for sale today!

Awesome day. Lots of new guys - welcome to all of you and great to meet some of the old guys and to see some familiar faces again. John and Ben crushed it and Dan and Spence had awesome grub. We even raffled off moonshine to a minor! Beat that. Saddles and platforms galore. Some exceptional DIY versions and Bwahna the mad scientist keeps innovating. Each iteration is better. He has a gift for this. I think most on this forum would be surprised at how some saddles stacked up in this mixed group of experienced and brand new guys. We did lots of climbing training and rappelling training. Was great to share, eat and everyone went home with something. I have been to two SPs and this demo day was better than both.

I had an absolute blast. Thank you to everyone for putting up with all my rookie questions. I learned more at this one event than I could have ever imagined. My work friend that I brought is already planning to spend his money.
