Well first climb in a normal shaped tree and I set the cable tight at the base and it leveled out at hunting height no need to adjust on the way up although I may switch to cottered hitch pins for safety sake I accidentally caught the cord tied to my pins on the way up and pulled on the pin it didn’t come out thankfully but it made me think but over all I’m happy how it turned out
I will make a sketch up but the only supplies I used were 1” 1/16 wall steel tubing and 4
1/4x1 1/4 coterless hitch pins I used a 6.5 mm
(.255) drill just so it was a little easier to get the pins through

I think any platform will be like that, I think the 550 cord wrap is your best bet, not sure if it's worth the effort I've never done itMy hand climber is really squeaky when my rubber boots are wet. What would be the best way to quiet it down. Plasti-dip, tape, camo form?
Love it another hand climber! I think that is 3 total? @bongo is that correct?I usually carry three chopped helium sticks with aiders along with my hand climber. I usually set one stick on the base if the tree and my hand climber set about head high. Usually that frees up any needed adjustments. If I need to be in a tree that had too many limbs for the hand climber I get to height with the helium’s and haul up my hand climber to use as platform. The hand climber for me has been hands down my favorite climbing method.
