Hand Muffs? anyone use?

Agree with all the posts so far. I have used one for over 25 years when it is cold enough to need it and keep a hand warmer pack in mine without gloves, or on really cold sits, have a thin pair of Under Armour gloves too. I wore out the ones I've had and plan to just stitch another one with the sewing awl from spare fleece laying around. Maybe make it long enough to attach on each side of the bridge to hold it instead of on your body?

I did see one at the store the other day that had a fold back section with clear plastic in the center so you could play with your phone and see it inside the muff. That is taking it a bit too far for me!

I use a fleece muff that I will hang from my bridge. I've found the best way to warm your hands is to have skin on skin contact.

I have one with a poly viewport for your phone. It’s really convenient because I can belt it around almost anything and it’s very warm, especially against wind. The only issue I have is when it’s REALLY cold the viewscreen fogs up from my hand warmth. That’s annoying when I’m re-reading Steve Rinella’s books in the tree lol.

So I changed to a tab from a glove this year and am wanting to be able to shoot without gloves for most of the early season. Anyone out there use the fleece/insulated hand muffs that have a strap that wraps around your waste and gives you a "hoody" like pocket in the front? anyone use them with a saddle? issues?
I use a hand muff on really cold days (teens). I absolutely hate gloves. I think my hands get colder with gloves on. When its 20+ I just put my hands in my pockets if they get cold.

I buy those then cut the folding mitten part off so I can just use the fingerless wool gloves. :) Its actually getting hard to find just the fingerless gloves around here.

I’m a fan of the fingerless wool gloves myself. I always used the plain ol’ ragwool gloves, but like you said, they’re next to impossible to find. I broke down last year and bought a pair from First Lite and I’m a fan of them.

I also use a muff. I usually use the built in one in my fanatic jacket. When it gets really cold out, I have a Cabela's muff with 600 grams of thinsulate. Got it on clearance a few Christmases ago and bought one for my nephew too.

I really like the muff. I’ll even throw my grunt tube and bleat can in there during the rut. If it’s not too cold I’ll leave a bottled water in there also.

I love a good muff. Learned the hard way though, wind proof is a must for me.

Same. I have one from natural gear that I really like. Coarse fleece keeps most the wind out. I keep my release inside too to help it function better. I usually wear a bit thicker glove on my bow hand so it's not quite the shock when I grab my bow, thinner glove on release hand as I shoot thumb release.
