Thanks for clearing that up. Another thing for me to research
most people make them
Yeah, researching stuff never ends around here. It's addicting really. Good luck! Thanks for clearing that up. Another thing for me to research
My sticks came in today!
Very impressed! Think I’ll be very pleased.
How do the hawk stick stack to each other?
I do the same thing. For me they stack better if I stack the first two with the brackets facing one another.
Mine were delivered today. Barely 24 hours after I ordered them, I wad shocked. Wanted 4 for some occassions and now I have two backups in case they stop making them.

I’m about to buy 3 or 4 sets so I’m set for yrs to come.
Or to pull spare parts off of if needed.

Just wondering if this might be an idea
Cut the wings off the hawk stick tube except in the step area and standoff area and versa button area.
With the wings the stick is about 2.3 Without. My guess is 1.9 pounds. An Infalt stick weight with folding steps.
I think the post would still be strong

I’ve gone round and round on this. You plan to modify them? If so what all do you have planned for them?

I bet it is as strong or stronger than 1/16 tube or 1/8 tube with holes and it is cheaper than making a stick.
I’ve gone round and round on this.
It’s easy to see the advantage of the mods but I’m almost 54 so I’m going to try the sticks as is with two one-step aiders added to the bottom two sticks.
I’m also going to camo paint the steps flat gray, brown, and tan. Most of the trees I’ll be climbing will be oaks and cottonwoods.
I still may mod them, just not sure yet...
That versa button/rope strap looks like a great alternative.Sounds good. As of right now I don’t plan to chop them. I also plan to paint them the same colors to blend I with the bark. I do plan to change out the straps with a lighter rope after adding a versa button and then one step aiders made of 1” webbing
