I spoke to Jerry, but it was the end of his day. I felt rushed and not totally understood wrt my questions on the lamilite socks, rubber boots one size up and mukluks.
He lamilite socks seem like they may be helpful. I will try them this weekend. I won’t get my one size up dans frogger boots for at least another week, so this weekends test will not be the only test. I will have to test them with the one size up boots.
After both tests, I’ll decide if I will pursue the mukluks.
Stay tuned.
The last two hunts, the lamilite socks totally take away the need for other socks. At the tree, I take off my boots, remove the insoles and my socks. Then put the lamilite socks on and then into my boot.
It works better than I have experienced with wool and bama socketts, but still getting a tad cold on the toes. Ricky Racer is spot on with his reccomendations of Wiggys! The lamilite is great.
I really think it is due to the rubber boots and my feet sweating that is still causing issues.
I also received the dans frogger boots one size up, and they will not work for me. It is still tight around foot, but with extra space around toe. They will be going back.
I am thinking about matching the lamilite socks with something like a mikluk that is ankle length and not an overboot just for the tree.

And if that is not enough, maybe heaters.
I already leave a pack frame at the base of the tree. So, leaving boots there too is not a negative.
Anyway, Ricky Racer recommending Wiggys should be heeded. Lamilite socks are a tad unde $32, and well worth it! No matter what I choose, it will include the lamilite socks.
