I hear you about the quiver. I have shot a bunch of crossbows and compound bows. I have practiced with the quiver on for "just in case I jump a deer walking" but as soon as I hunt the quiver comes off. I tie a little loop of 550 cord to the quiver and it gets put on a gear hanger or tree branch, or goes in my pack.
I take my quiver off once in the tree as well so the extra arrows don't hit anything if I need to take a shot. I can clip it with a carabiner to my gear strap or to my pack.

  • put a nylon nut and locking washer on the riser joint
  • put a nylon or lock washer on the safety screw
Could you post pictures of these?

This is my first post here. I drank the koolaid full strength and because of this forum I now own a saddle and the HC Mini.

I have shot my mini a few times but did not have the confidence to take it into the woods yet. I had a few issues that Jerry is helping me sort out. The main one is the dry fire prevention tab jams occasionally when shot. Its like a flint lock when it does as the string catches on it but slides around before trying to fling the arrow. It snapped the nock last time.

I added the lock washer to the front to tighten that down but the knob loosens every few shots or with carry/moving the bow. I would like to have a more secure option with it. I do not plan on taking the bow apart to transport.

One thing I am working on is quieting the trigger. Mine has a lot of wiggle - side to side which clanks when my finger enters the trigger area and it vibrates on the shot. I have a few nylon washers that I plan to cut and insert on the sides of the trigger to help prevent this.

Nylon tube spacer wtih a lock washer on the bow side should work to keep the knob from loosening.

Welcome to the site!
Did you add a lock washer or a lock nut like in this photo? The lock nut helps a lot if that's different that what you did.

Maybe @DanO can manufacture one of these old Kwikee Kwiver offset brackets for this mini xbow rig? I don't think Kwikee makes them any more.

Another customer shared this design with me earlier today! I have reached out to Kwikee Kwiver to find out what's going on with that bracket. If discontinued, should be able to make something similar.

I'm sitting on the ground tonight and had my stirrup on the ground leaning next to me. I went to look through the scope and felt like I was being watched then I noticed this little hitchhiker. :)

So since I'm bucked out for the time being I'm switching to the mini earlier than planned to go on doe patrol next week for the management program I'm in.
I put the quiver bracket in the post above on with a kwikee quiver and it seems like it should work well. Gives me enough room to get the foot in there with the quiver on still. It wasn't a deal breaker to take the quiver off but it will make it easier since I'll cock it at the base of the tree and pull it up so it's one less time to take it off and put it back on.

Very nice. Where is that bracket sourced?

Seems like 3d print may be the way to go to copy one of those brackets.
My thoughts as well :)
I thought about that and have a 3D printer and was going to do it. The holes where the quiver mount goes are threaded so it was just much easier and quicker for me to buy this and try it lol.

Does it have the same punch as a crossbow bolt? Ive seen crossbows blow right thru a deers shoulder and come out the other side.
