Hickory Creek Koolaid

Is it loose after you cock it? I noticed mine was loose and it about drove me crazy trying to tighten that knob. Then I realized after it was cocked it didnt move.
No it's not. I think the string when cocked would add the force to keep it pushed down into the riser part. It's probably not a big deal affecting accuracy but it drives me nuts carrying it around with a wobble.

Mine seems uncannily accurate even compared to my other crossbows. Maybe the extra bolt in mine contributes to this. Mine is rock solid with the extra bolt and the knob. I don't really even need the knob.

I don't think a wobble would contribute to accuracy. I would contact Jerry at HC.
It's fine now after the shim and extra knob, I'll probably rarely ever take it apart.

I had issues with mine before I locked it down. Now it's definitely on par with anything else I've ever shot.

You guys have convinced me. I ordered one of these for my daugther. Unfortunately it will be left-handed but I can't wait to try it out anyway.

My daughter's Hickory Creek showed up at the house today. Man does that thing look nice. I'm itching to shoot it even though its left handed but it's intended to be her birthday present. I guess I'll have to rebox it up and wait a week . . .:tearsofjoy:
Gotta make sure the scope is on...otherwise she'll be dissapointwd...any good father would...

And this is why it's not koolaid.... it's real.

3 shots cold turkey this morning. Freehand, 35yrds. I had to get a new target because it was burying the arrows up to the fletching in the 3d deer.(even at 35)..

Ugh. That thing is a tack driver. I was looking forward to sticking pigs at 100 yards with it. You better kill something this season!
