Hip replacement!?!?

Oh man, I had hip surgery at 28 but a little different. Even at that young it took me over a yr to feel a little better but not that much even after over 4 yrs now. I had a full labrum tear. And a acetabular impingement on my femur. (Payback for yrs of skateboarding and snowboarding and backpacking) They went in and pulled my leg out, Tore all the surrounding muscles, sewed my labrum back together, grinded a groove in my femur, and scraped the arthritis out. I was completely immobilized not able to put any weight on it for over a month. After 3 months I was on one crutch. Jealous for all the people that get replacement surgery and are pretty much healed in 2 months.
Needless to say, saddle hunting is hard for me to get comfortable but the pros outweigh the cons. Being able to change positions and a backband has given me way more time hunting without being in too much pain. a hang on stand was worse. A climber was bearable but too heavy. I think you'll be fine!

Hate you had to go through that man, sounds like you had alot of fun back in the day. I hear what you're saying about the tree stands, that 90° position sux on those low seats, that was another appealing feature of a saddle to me. Have you checked on having a saddle sewn up for you that has cushioning in it?

Looks like a JX3 might be in your future, no hip pinch, just like the recliner at home............

I've got a brand new Flex (first saddle) that I have to try out first, i honestly believe everything will be ok and the Flex will work out great. The JX3 is a very comfortable looking piece of equipment though.

You'll be good to go. You'll love the Flex!!
