How do you carry your thermacell?

I run this also and the shock cord just goes over the top of the T cell.
Have the same one works pretty good

T&K for $40, ouch. That’s some COVID pricing for sure.
If cost is an issue, try one of these.

The new thermacell design with the narrower handle fits perfectly in these radio pouches. You simply take the bungee cord and adjust the tension to your preference. It can also hold other things as well when not using the thermacell.

Any water bottle pocket works for this one.

That’s an awesome idea. That way it comes right out the top vertically. I use that one for my patio and can say it works very well.

Right now it’s in the box call pocket in my Turkey vest….I keep my box call in a camo water bottle sleeve so it stays quiet. I will take the thermacell out and clip it on myself or lay on the ground when using. I’ve never found them very useful when walking, unless I’m tryin to go slow…..which is a good ideas sometimes too!
While I love my thermacell, I spray my bucket type hat with deep woods off and it keeps all the bugs away from my face!

Since he doesn't get on here much I guess I answer....the original poster got the alps pouch like u linked and it is very nice.....but it doesn't have accomodations for extra fuel and mats so he looking to modify or replace with something better.

The one I posted looks to have two small elastic pockets on it. They make two very similar pockets. For 15$ I might just order one and if I don’t like it oh well

I didn't catch that....my bad.
1 of the apls doesn't have a spot for mats and fuel. We just talking about it at saddle flooza as we sat under a tarp in the rain and skeeters wanting to get at us.

The old style holder is awesome IMO but the new style sux a big 1.

Ill look thru all my surplus pouches and see if any work just right. I got a bear spray pouch that almost works good and would maybe be about perfect with a little modification.

If somebody made a copy of the original holder with molle attachment instead of the swivel clip they would probably sell a bunch of them
What is the difference between the old and new styles? I'm not sure which I have, but I've liked it for what it is, and it has pockets for spare fuel and pads. Instead of using the clip on the thermacell unit, I usually carabiner it to something

That's the new version....works well enough....im using the same sometimes....I kinda rotate them out...I got a half dozen thermacells, new and old. i don't care for new version honestly. I like the original unit and pouch much better. New pouch is thin and cheap and I don't care for the new way they do the clip....but still better than not having anything.

Same here, I’ve got 4 and only one works properly. I tried to send one back a long time ago and it came back with the same problem so I’m going to start trying to fix them. The only version I’ve had that worked for a long time was the old ones with the slide on/off switch. The newer ones with the dial on/off and the current version have all worked good for a short time then stopped working in one way or another.

I took one apart yesterday on my lunch break and they aren’t complicated. I’m guessing it’s inferior materials compared to the originals that’s causing them to stop working

I carry mine into my area in one of the pockets in my pack, and then hang from my gear hanger with a 3d printed clip I designed and printed. I suppose if I were being minimalist I could also hook the paracord to a molle clip and hang off my saddle and carry it in that way.
