How many arrows do you take into the field?

As many as my quiver will hold. Currently that is 5. I have had situations where I have ran through 3 arrows fast. It’s not always, but when it happens, you want that extra arrow and they weigh next to nothing.

I keep 3 arrows with Rage Hypodermic, 1 with a classic Rage (still have some old replacement blades I’m working through) and 1 with a 2 blade NAP Blood Runner which is a fixed/piston-expandable. The hypodermics are my go-to first arrows on the stand. The old Rage is my coyote/squirrel/follow up shot on a spine shot deer arrow. The NAP Blood Runner is my “fixed” blade for spot and stalk. I love the Rages, but no bueno on spot and stalk with a nocked arrow through brush. I am contemplating switching out my blood runner for a G5 Montec or Slick Trick as my fixed spot and stalk arrow.

5, full quiver. At least 3 brand new, but one or two are usually broadheads that have already been shot, maybe slightly damaged, that’s for a bobcat, pig, some squirrel that won’t shut up, etc...

As far as weight, a 400 grain arrow is about 1/20 of a pound. So bring a couple extra, you’ll punch yourself in the junk if a big buck ever gives you more chances than you think he would

I always carry a full quiver which right now is 5. I usually have one arrow that's just for shooting small game or to take a practice shot.
