How much have you spent on your saddle setup?

Sit-drag/RC combo=$40
Muddy sticks=$135
Amateel rope for mods=$40
Odds and ends to mod sit/drag $40
2 Diy platforms= -$175 and counting.
Total=$80 so far

Do you mean my current setup that I finally settled on? Or do I need to include all of the other random stuff that I've tinkered with for the past 3 years as well?

Except for rope, I've tried to buy stuff on sale at the best discount, or buy secondhand. So whatever I've got into it now, it could have been A LOT worse. Paying to have my ropes spliced was the best investment, IMO. Hope to learn to do it myself someday.

DB4x4. Just the total investment of your current setup. That could include money lost on things sold off in the past to buy new stuff.
Stevethebreeze, your wife on here?

I spent about 750 for everything..Predator platform,phantom saddle,120' predator rope,throw bag,biners,1" webbing for aiders for platform climbing.. I like the platform climbing a lot,and good thing i have the rope for a Drt rappel.
That's definetely it for this year. My hunting enjoyment/ excitment is through the roof,but it was before
This is only my fifth bow season and i am obsessed. I got new arrows and broadheads,but that is a different department.
I am super excited about hunting public for the first time and also having gotten permission on a few private properties. I have not hunted new ground in a while. Well,once last year and got a doe there,that was neat.

My guess would be 1k... never thought about it and I’m going to try not to again. :sweatsmile:

I started shooting in sporting clays tournaments years ago. A couple tournaments a month, a round of practice on the off weekends plus a couple rounds of five stand a week. It wouldn’t be hard to spend 1k in a month. I added up what I spent one July and haven’t shot any tournaments since with exception of a few charity tournaments where someone else sponsored a team. Unlike spent shells and clay targets my saddle gear has some value so I can at least consider them an investment. Some make a better investment than others. Kind of like @huck72412 watched 15k worth of trophylines turn into 500 almost over night.
